Newsletter for 10/13

Third Grade Newsletter for the Week of October 12, 2009
From Mrs. Godwin

We will have our Spelling and Reading tests on Friday. The first 15 Spelling words are the most important. The Challenge words will be given as a bonus. Please read Olympic Games: Where Heroes Are Made for the Reading test too.

*Monday, October 19th – Wear Sneakers Day
*Wednesday, October 21st – Wear Red Day; PTA Ice Cream Social
*Monday, October 26th – School is closed for Teacher In-service day

Ancient – very old
Host – one who provides the place for an event

Ceremonies – formal acts performed in honor of an occasion
Medals – small, flat pieces of metal given as awards
